"Super Heavy Duty Jaws" for Roll Turning & Deep Hole Drilling Applications. These "HEAVY DUTY JAWS" are different from conventional jaws only by its screw rods- their screw rods are a mechanical-force-boosting screw rods type. The other aspects of these jaws are the same to those on conventional jaws. These jaws exert large clamping forces to heavy workpieces like rolls, large shafts etc., weighing tens of tons, by driving the jaws' screw rods with a small torque manually. Large & heavy workpieces will not slip on the serrated faces of the jaws after clamping.

NEW & USED WORKHOLDING FACEPLATE JAWS
OUR BORING MILL JAWS HERE AT ERIE MACHINE TOOL INTERNATIONAL EQUIPMENT, FEATURE:
1. Our boring mill jaws are used on vertical lathes, large-size horizontal lathes, deep-hole boring machines, welding positioner's, etc. as work holding components, to locate and clamp large-size workpieces. These boring mill jaws can be mounted to chucks having parallel T-slots or to face plates having only radial T-slots;
2. One-piece construction style boring mill jaws and two-piece construction style boring mill jaws are available;
3. With the boring mill jaws bases made of one-piece AISI 1045 casting steel and hardened & ground serrated jaws made of AISI 1045 forging steel;
4. Standard sizes of our boring mill jaws are 8"x6", 10"x7", 12"x7", 14"x7", 14"x9", up to 600mm x 320mm(length of base x bolt-hole-center lines distance) or custom made referring to the size of the chuck on which the boring mill jaws will be mounted;
5. Each set of boring mill jaws includes four piececs of boring mill jaws, all necessary T-nuts and bolts and one wrench;
In above some of our past supplies of boring mill jaws are shown. Please contact us at email@example.com to get an offer for the boring mill jaws specially designed for optimum applications on your machine tools.
To minimize the necessary quantity of the sets of boring mill jaws needed in your workshop, we offer universal types of boring mill jaws which covers hole center distance 6",7" and so on and can be mounted on radial T-slots as well. With the universal types of boring mill jaws, you can clamp workpieces on either a chuck with parallel T-slots adjacent by a distance of 6" to each other or a chuck with parallel T-slots adjacent by a distance of 7" to each other. Of course you can order from us sets of universal types of boring mill jaws for chucks with distance of adjacent parallel T-slots over 7".
Beside the boring mill jaws custom made to the customers specific requirements, we always keep in stock standard boring mill jaws of several sizes.
Anytime you want an immediate shipment for sets of boring mill jaws used on your (ANY BRAND) Vertical Lathes & Boring Mills, you can contact us. You can always rely on us to meet your special needs for boring mill jaws. When you tell us the T-slots on the chuck to receive the jaws, we can also, on your request, supply the T-bolts and nuts with the jaws for a readiness in operation.
When you need sets of boring mill jaws to use on your horizontal large lathes, we can manufacture them for you. Please contact us to get our offer, we are more than glad to be helpful. We will design and make the right jaws to suit your lathe.
To firmly clamp heavy work pieces with weight of tens of tons, the boring mill jaws equipped with the heavy-duty horizontal lathe must exert high clamping forces onto the work pieces to prevent them from slipping over the jaws serrated clamping surface when taking large cutting forces with deep cutting into workpieces. Slippage of workpieces over the jaws serrated clamping face due to inadequate clamping forces, once occurs, will damage the workpieces or the cutters, and the damage will be especially serious if the contour of section of workpieces being clamped is irregular. To ensure the boring mill jaws to generate clamping forces high enough to firmly clamp the workpieces, high torque must be exerted on the driving screw rod in the jaw base. We can furnish the jaw bases with gears-set following leverprinciple to magnify by five times the operator phyical force on the driving handle for the jaws. In this way, the operator can use a much shorter and lighter driving handle, 700-900mm in length, to drive the screwing rod in the jaw base with only about 24KGf hand-force to firmly clamp the heavy workpieces. Above mentioned driving torque magnifying device is very useful in actual clamping job beside the heavy duty horizontal lathe, especially when the operating space is limited.
