This is an older vintage, American designed and built press, installed in its present configuration in 1941 and operated infrequently, but regularly, until recently. It was fitted with a new crown (an all-welded fabrication weighing 61 tons) in 1943. A system for powering the upper platen (crown) support nuts was designed, built, and installed in 1968 to enable the daylight to be more rapidly adjusted. The hydraulic pumps and the manual lever valving (obsolete) are not appropriate for a new installation of this press and are not offered with this machine. There are general design blueprints available. We can also provide a weight breakdown of each major press component. These, and also foundation/pit design drawings, are available on request to interested clients.
PLEASE NOTE: There is good rail access convenient to the location of this press.
However, dismantling and loading costs are not included in this quotation. We will co-ordinate the logistics of dismantling and loading at no charge, and we will also restore the floor surface.
