 150 Ton x 4800mm Dishing Press

Manufactured by Industrial Hydraulics & Pneumatics Pty Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia.

Capable of dishing a 4800 diameter blank, They used a crane to hold the dish while forming.

They have done domes up to 16 mm thick at 3300 and up to 4000 up to 12 mm thick.

At small diameter it will do 30 mm thick easy depending on tooling.

This unit is easy to move, doesn't need a pit, it can literally be plugged into

a 3 phase 415v power supply and start work.

This was made in the 1970's, and retrofitted with an independent power pack in

1996.

We have copied it on 2 occasions ie, I have 2 others the same that I

want to keep.

Since we have bought the Boldrini Press, this has gone from a machine that used

to work 2 shifts, to only working on small odd ball jobs.

It really is the most convenient, and simple setup I have seen, and I travelled far and wide in search of dishing equipment.

It could be lifted and moved without the hassles of decommissioning that you have with bigger machines.

And as far as installation it could be running within hours of arrival.  

We actually move it around our factory on skids when we have large awkward jobs to put in it.

Frame weighs approximately 14 ton, 5 metres overall length, 3.2 metres high.

I would prefer to keep the tooling as it fits 3 of our other machines, I can however provide drawings for tooling.

I recently had new dies quoted out of china at around $3100 USD per set, which will be hard to beat.

This was first built by a company called Industrial Hydraulics in the 1970’s, it has a plate on it, and I will get a pic of that to you.

We modified it to increase from 3800 diameter blanks to 4800 and have added reinforcement to compensate for it.

It's 150 ton, using dies around 800 diameter for heads up to 12 mm.

We have done 16 mm at 3500 diameter but it is slow.

Tha machines strength is it so convenient and easy to adapt tooling to.

We have used it to press the knuckle onto cones with home made tooling. 

We have pressed comp pads 1200 diameter x 30 mm thick.

Machine is currently in service and can be seen running, under power.
